Wait, there are finally some updates here? What! About time! I know, I know, I really need to do better about posting updates on this page. I will try to do better. I do want to share my updates with the world! I really feel that people would love the jewelry that I create if I would just stop creating it long enough to actually take pictures of it and share them. So, with that in mind, I’ve finally posted a new collection update! I’ve added a new page to this site, surprisingly called “Collections“…. I’ll do my best to post new collections here. I’ve probably also shared to Instagram or Facebook, but going forward, I’m going to do my best to use this website as my launch base for all new collections.

That is my most recent little joy – The Sunnie Collection. I must admit, I am most proud of the one in the bottom right corner. The Sunnie Pendant. I decided I wanted to try a 3D pendant for an upcoming Sunflower Festival, so I went for it. I did a Skinner Blend (gradient) between 3 sunflower colors (yellow, orange, and red), then using several different tools formed them into the petals and built them up exactly how I wanted them. It turned out better than I could ever have hoped. I fully plan on making more of them and trying many other flowers. Check out better pictures in the Collections page.
Now, here are my promises to you (and me).
- I am going to do better about photographing each new collection and posting it here as it is completed.
- I am working on building a new online store for digital sales. For now, if you see something you like, send me an email or fill out the Contact Me form and we can work out something! I have PayPal invoicing, Venmo, CashApp, and Square.
- I am want to teach you how to do what I do. I already have a YouTube channel set up and have my first tutorial posted – check it out! In the long term, I plan to build many more tutorials, up to a full polymer clay beginner’s course that covers everything from which clay to buy to putting the finishing touches on your jewelry.
All of these come with one (kind of two) big caveat – I’m busy–very, very busy. I work full-time, have a spouse undergoing medical care for a full range of health issues including cancer and a heart condition, and am (fanfare for an announcement please) going back to school full-time for another masters degree starting October 1, 2025. All while still running my jewelry business on the side. Why yes, I do think I’m clinically insane, why do you ask?
While, yes, it does seem crazy to take on another masters degree while juggling everything else I have going on in my life, I think it is more than worth it. I’ll be attending Western Governors University in the Masters of Science in Digital Marketing. This is in no way a plug for their programs, but I absolutely love WGU! I love the flexibility, the cost, the coursework, the people, just everything. I nearly completed my undergrad there before I started a job at Utah State University and it made way more sense to transfer back and finish up there. My first masters degree was at WGU, however, and it was an amazing experience. Also, I just love learning. I can’t help it. Ever since I graduated last October, I’ve been thinking about what my next degree would be. I finally decided that I wanted to focus on Digital Marketing because it would help me with my small business. I can also take what I learn and teach others. Both in the online world of polymer clay, jewelry making, and beginner digital marketing, and in collegiate settings. With this degree, I have the potential of stepping into an adjunct professorship in the community college where I currently work full-time, thus increasing my current earnings and furthering my own career goals. Teaching is something I’ve always wanted to do. And, at WGU, I can “accelerate” my coursework. I enroll and pay for 6 months of enrollment. I must take at least 3 courses in that time, but if I complete all three courses in 3 months, I can add another, then another, and another, all without paying another dime until my 6 months is up. If I hustle and work hard, I could be done in a year–or less. I know myself well enough to know that won’t happen, but a girl can dream, right?
So, while the amount of jewelry I’ve been creating my slow down for a while, I’ll still be putting my little bits of joy out into the world. I’ll still do my best to share them here and on my social media. And, I hope you’ll stick with me as I take this journey to learn more about how to market my business and in turn teach others the same.
Much love and joy to you all!
